It is every father’;s dream to see his son succeeding in life so as to continue the family lineage.

But this was not to be for Sibusiso Immanuel Tshabalala, 48.
His dream ended in tragedy on June 8 when he “accidentally” shot and killed his 16-year-old son.

The incident happened outside the boy’s school premises at the Fred Norman High school in Ennerdale, south of Johannesburg.

Tshabalala, was in court Tuesday where he made a brief appearance before his case was postponed to December 12.

Tshabalala cut a lonely figure as he sat in the dock at the Lenasia Magistrate’s Court while his lawyer and the prosecutor discussed a way forward.
None of his family members were present.

He is out on warning.
In a bizarre incident, Tshabalala had gone to fetch his son Luyanda from school but had fallen asleep in his car. while his son was attending evening classes.

After class when the young man tapped the window of his father’s car he thought he was being hijacked, pulled a firearm and fired without “realizing” it was his son, his second born child.

The boy died on the scene.
In his revious court appearance Tshabalala was accompanied by his wife who opened up to the media to say she forgives her husband adding that he would never hurt their son deliberately.

So traumatised was.Tshabalala after the incident that he wanted to take his own life,
